The Heart of Elysian
Welcome
Wherever this finds you today, welcome.
I am Olivia Brown, founder, steward, and guardian of Elysian Breathwork.
For more than two decades, I have had the privilege of caring for people through therapeutic bodywork. Since 2011, I have served as the lead massage therapist and office manager at my husband’s chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage therapy clinic here in Gilbert, Arizona.
Looking back, I can see that my life’s work has always been leading me toward the same calling:
Creating spaces where beauty invites you to slow down, safety allows you to soften, and your own wisdom leads the way.
The Journey That Led Me Here
Before I discovered Conscious Connected Breathwork, I spent years searching for peace outside of myself.
If you had met me then, you probably would have described me as confident, capable, and independent.
You likely would not have recognized how much I was carrying beneath the surface.
For many years, I became exceptionally good at surviving.
Beneath the smile lived childhood trauma, shame, grief, fear, and a quiet disconnection from myself. I often wondered whether life would ever feel different, or if surviving was simply all there was.
As an adult, I found myself searching for relief in ways that only carried me farther from myself. I struggled with addiction, unhealthy relationships, anger, and the exhausting weight of trying to outrun my own pain.
I spent years pursuing healing through counseling, medication, meditation, and yoga. Each offered something meaningful, yet I still sensed there was a missing piece.
Then one day, a dear friend simply suggested that I learn how to breathe.
I remember smiling and thinking,
“I already know how to breathe.”
Still, something about that invitation stayed with me.
Not long afterward, I scheduled my first Conscious Connected Breathwork session.
Nothing could have prepared me for what happened next.
For the first time in my life, I experienced a depth of self-love that I had never known before.
Years of held emotion gently began to move.
Grief softened.
My body exhaled.
For the first time, I realized I had spent much of my life surviving rather than truly living.
That single experience did not erase my past.
It did something far more beautiful.
It reminded me that beneath every layer of protection, every coping strategy, every fear, and every wound… there was still someone whole.
Someone worth loving.
Someone worth coming home to.
That experience quietly changed the direction of my life.
What Guides My Work
Today, I do not believe people need to be fixed.
I believe each of us already carries an incredible wisdom within.
Sometimes we simply need enough safety to hear it.
As a trauma-informed Breathwork facilitator, my role is never to tell you what your experience should be.
I am simply here to create an environment where your nervous system feels safe enough to unfold in its own time.
That intention lives within every detail of Elysian.
The music.
The lighting.
The blankets.
The quiet pauses.
The invitation to choose what feels right for you.
Because healing cannot be forced.
But it can be gently invited.
My Hope
Whether you arrive carrying grief, stress, uncertainty, curiosity, or simply a longing to reconnect with yourself…
You are welcome here.
My hope is not that you leave remembering me.
My hope is that you leave remembering yourself.
My story is not one of perfection.
It is one of remembering.
Remembering that beneath every layer of fear, protection, grief, and survival, there has always been something beautifully whole waiting patiently to be rediscovered.
Today, I stand here in my truth, wholeheartedly.
It is one of life’s greatest honors to sit beside others as they remember theirs.
With gratitude,
Olivia Brown
